The one lesson I really enjoyed; is on color use. There was a part of an exercise that asked you to use a group of WORDS (listed in the book) and use fabric or paint chips in one inch squares to define the words. Do a paste up in a journal. I usually use fabric scraps for things like this. But had never thought of paint chips. Several years ago, one DIL and I were going to stores and places that handled paint. I would pick up a card from the paint store with various colors. Did that for some time. Ended up with a nice selection. Chained them together and have used that quite often to see colors and blend. But didn’t think of cutting squares and paste-ups. Wonderful idea. And the stores give them so you can look for paint colors you can use.

The books sounds great, Rene. Do be sure to keep posting the exercises you do etc – I just find it fascinating to see the way people approach things like that. It often tells us so much more about the person, than the finished article I think. Lucky you, to get the gidt certificate.
